Foreman (Electrical)
Location: this position is national/ site-based

We are seeking a Foreman (Electrical) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site operations for electrical projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation, safety compliance and quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise electrical installations, ensuring compliance with project plans and standards.
  • Enforce OHS Act, SANS regulations, and site safety protocols.
  • Manage workforce, subcontractors, and material resources.
  • Conduct quality inspections and resolve technical issues.
  • Interpret electrical drawings and ensure proper execution.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and system handover.
  • Maintain records, progress reports, and site documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other trades.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • HV, MV, and LV systems, switchgear, transformers and substations.
  • Renewable energy infrastructure, particularly wind farms.
  • SANS electrical standards, work permits and LOTO procedures.
  • Electrical testing, troubleshooting and commissioning.
  • Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Trade Test Certificate (Electrician) (DHET registered).
  • N4 – N6 Electrical Engineering would be advantageous.
  • Wireman’s License would be preferred.
  • High Voltage Switching, First Aid, Working at Heights and Construction Regulations 2014 training.
  • 5+ years in electrical construction and wind farm experience would be preferred.
